MSDN Academic Alliance (MSDN AA) Program


This program provides Hood College Computer science faculty and students free Microsoft software via download. This software is to be used for academic purposes only. Please visit the following website for currently available software. Click the Software tab. You might need to expand "Search by product titles" field to see all the software available.

To Obtain Software:

To obtain software, you need your MSDNAA account. To request your account, please send your name and e-mail address either to msdnaa_adm @ cs.hood.edu from the Support page on the website above or to acrum @ cs.hood.edu. If you do not provide an e-mail address, the e-mail address you used will be your e-mail address for your MSDNAA account. This service is only for Computer Science faculty and students. If you are a student, ask your professor for your MSDNAA account or provide the name of the course you are taking and the name of your professor in your e-mail.

When your account is created, the system will send you the procedure for getting access to the software downloads.

If you do not have a fast Internet connection, CD loans are available. If the particular software does not have a CD-checkout choice on the above site, please send your request to the above e-mail address.
